Dear Colleagues, 

As a teaching hospital, nurturing healthcare professionals has always been an important part of our development. We have previously partnered with Varian Medical Systems to set up a radiotherapy reference centre at GHK, and earlier this month, we took another step forward and launched a new Training Centre of Radiotherapy and Oncology at GHK with Varian to offer comprehensive clinical training programmes on radiation oncology for industry professionals. Through this collaboration, I believe that we will be able to further raise our capability and reputation as a teaching and training hospital which will in turn benefit more patients in Hong Kong, Mainland China and nearby regions. 

I was pleased to see many of you supporting the launch of Gleneagles Oasis. Living up to our Uniquely Yours spirit, we strive to take holistic care of our patients, their families and our staff, looking after their total wellness beyond their physical health. To this end, a group of committed colleagues has teamed up to form a Spiritual Support Group to drive the Gleneagles Oasis to provide 24-hour spiritual care, chaplaincy visits, and bereavement services for patients and families in need. The spiritual care service also caters to our staff’s needs for which regular workshops and sharing sessions on spiritual health are offered. If you encounter challenges in life or work and wish to seek spiritual support, besides our Intellect app, I’m sure that our spiritual support team will be more than happy to offer you assistance. 

We care for your total well-being and regularly review and enhance our employee welfare and benefits. The medical benefits for our staff and their dependents have been upgraded since January, which include waiving co-payment for Healthnet visits and extending coverage to other dispensing services and dental benefits.  Providing our staff with an excellent and thriving place to work in has always been on our priority list, we will keep engaging you through various channels and facilitate more two-way communication, so please also keep your suggestions and thoughts coming.  

Leveraging the many great achievement earned last year, we are looking to further expand our service network and footprint beyond Hong Kong and strengthen our brand reputation through pushing ahead with innovation and more strategic partnerships.
