Message from Chief Executive Officer

Dear Colleagues,

Please join me to welcome our second offsite specialist clinic, Gleneagles Primo Surgical Centre, which further extends the specialist medical service network of the Gleneagles brand in Hong Kong. Strategically located in Central, the Centre is poised to provide excellent-quality services to patients from different parts of the city and help extend the reach of our brand.

Ensuring that we provide patients with safe and top-quality care is always our top priority, but as one of the healthcare providers in Hong Kong, it is also important that we connect and interact with our community. Earlier this month, we sponsored the Hong Kong International Horse Show to promote sports and sports health whilst taking the chance to introduce IHH Healthcare, our integrated healthcare network in Hong Kong as well as the service network of Parkway Shanghai to both local and overseas audience. Those of you who are active in sports, I hope you have had participated in the Standard Chartered Marathon on which we collaborated with Cancerinformation.com.hk Charity Foundation to form a running team to raise fund for cancer patient rehabilitation services. I thank our colleagues for their enthusiastic support in these activities which bring us closer to the different stakeholder groups in the community.

At the recent IHH Group CEO Global Town Hall, we were taken through the Group's development and transformation agenda and the key milestones attained across various markets in the past year. I am particularly proud to be able to send my support in person to our Senior Radiation Therapist Ryan who pitched his innovative idea of building a comprehensive healthcare support network for the elderly as one of the five shortlisted finalists in the IHH Ideacles Challenge. The Group is moving in the direction of change and transformation. For us in Hong Kong, we have also already started giving a re-think to our existing workflows, practices, service models and more, and exploring how we can leverage the use of innovative technologies, automation and AI to enhance the process, make your work easier, and bring better value for patients. There are bound to be challenges as we navigate the process, but I believe that this is also a journey that we all must take on if we are to stay ahead of the curve.

As stressed at the Town Hall, transformation also requires active participation from staff to make it work. If you are looking for opportunities to showcase your creativity and foresight in driving meaningful changes which could further elevate healthcare services to all, I encourage you to take part in the IHH Transformation Challenge. This presents a great opportunity for you to turn transformative ideas into reality. You also stand a chance to win funding to pilot your project and potentially drive impactful changes across IHH. If you are bubbling with ideas, let’s go for it!

Warm regards,

Celebrating the launch of Gleneagles Primo Surgical Centre

We celebrated the launch of Gleneagles Primo Surgical Centre, dedicated to providing one-stop and high-quality diagnosis and treatment of head and neck tumour, breast health- and ENT-related conditions, as well as plastic and reconstructive services. Equipped with a suite of advanced equipment, the Centre also provides minor surgical procedures.

Located on 20/F of New World Tower 1 in Central, the Centre is managed by a team of highly-experienced surgeons and seamlessly supported by our hospital to offer comprehensive surgical treatments and services.

Enhancing patient care with innovative systems
Committed to delivering excellent healthcare outcomes, we have recently introduced the ExcelsiusGPS® robotic navigation system and Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) to help further transform patient care.
The newly introduced spine robotic navigation system features intricate navigation capabilities which support our surgeons to plan and perform minimally invasive spine surgery with high-level precision. In addition to providing stability through its robotic arms, the system also offers comprehensive approaches and customised workflow, ensuring alignment accuracy of instrument placement along pre-planned routes.

Watch the video to find out more.

Equally impressive is the emergence of the Pulsed Field Ablation which offers a promising alternative to existing therapies by using high-voltage electrical pulses to directly eliminate cells in the atria, minimising damage to surrounding tissues and reducing complications.

IHH Group CEO Global Town Hall 2025

The annual IHH Group CEO Global Town Hall held in Singapore was livestreamed to all operating markets with over 2,000 staff joining in person and online on 17 February.

Themed “Transforming Together: From Ideas to Impact”, the Global Town Hall was a fruitful and engaging one in which colleagues heard from Group CEO Dr Prem Kumar Nair IHH's development and transformation agenda and the key milestones attained across various markets in the past year, including some enviable achievements by GHK.

This informative session, and the guest speaker who delivered an inspiring sharing on transformation, were followed by the IHH Ideacles Challenge – an initiative for colleagues to pitch bold, creative ideas to the Group’s leadership team on how to make IHH the ultimate healthcare company. Congratulations to our Senior Radiation Therapist Ryan who made his way to the final round in the challenge and pitched on stage his innovative idea of building a comprehensive healthcare support network for the elderly!

Harnessing international experience and
innovative technologies to elevate healthcare services

At the events, our CEO Dr Kenneth Tsang shared how IHH Healthcare leverages its international network and expertise to provide top-notch healthcare services for local and global patients. Dr Tsang also showcased some of GHK’s experiences which have contributed to fostering knowledge exchange and service promotion in the realm of healthcare with other Belt and Road countries.
As one of the key healthcare players in the city, GHK has recently participated in the From GBA to Global Health Summit and the Belt and Road Cross-professional Forum. The occasions offered engaging platforms for knowledge and insights exchange on the latest developments and trends in a spectrum of topics related to healthcare development in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as discussions on how Hong Kong's professional services could embrace the emerging opportunities under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Contributing to promote sports and sports health

GHK participated for the first time as a sponsor of the Hong Kong International Horse Show (Horse Show) held at AsiaWorld Expo from 14 to 16 February.

In support of the Horse Show, GHK has launched a series of health educational campaigns, along with special offers on the packages for robotic-arm assisted spinal fusion surgery and osteoporosis screening to enhance awareness of sports health. We also had the pleasure of connecting with local and overseas audience and introducing to them the service networks of IHH Healthcare and GHK during the three-day event.

Gleneagles runs charity marathon to support cancer patients

Earlier this month, GHK collaborated with Cancerinformation.com.hk Charity Foundation (CICF) to form a team to participate in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon Charity Programme 2025. Close to 50 colleagues and doctors, along with cancer patients from CICF, took part in the 10km individual (non-challenge group) and half-marathon as charity runners and raised funds for CICF’s cancer patient rehabilitation services.

Our appreciation goes to our colleagues and doctors for joining us to support this meaningful cause!
