Dear Colleagues,
I was delighted to join over 1,000 of you, along with IHH Healthcare’s management team, at our 8th Anniversary Town Hall earlier this month. During the event, our Group CEO, Dr Prem Kumar Nair, and I shared IHH’s transformation journey and growth strategy for Hong Kong, particularly how we can continue to enhance clinical excellence and patient experience through innovation and clinical research. We also outlined Gleneagles’ expansion plans in Hong Kong and Mainland China, including the upcoming opening of the Gleneagles MediCentre in the fourth quarter of this year, as well as other service expansion projects through strategic partnerships. My heartfelt thanks go to the Town Hall organising committee for their meticulous planning and to every one of you for your dedication to Gleneagles all these years!
Meanwhile, we are working at full steam on preparing for the China’s International Hospital Accreditation Standards (CIHA Standards). This is not just an assessment but a valuable opportunity for us to learn to refine the various aspects of our services. Last week, we successfully completed the first round of consultation and on-site evaluations, where our teams demonstrated outstanding professionalism, commitment and teamwork which was highly regarded by the delegation. The feedback we received will help us better prepare for the second round of the consultation in August and the final assessment in December. A big thank-you for your hard work and devotion. I’m confident that with our collective effort, we will achieve excellent results together.
As action-packed as ever, right after CIHA Standards, we welcomed the GHK Service Week 2025! Themed “Sparkling with Hearts”, the Week brings a line-up of engaging activities from practical tips to fun interactive games designed for all of you. I could not stress enough the importance of delivering exceptional service experience to our patients. In a highly competitive healthcare environment where high clinical standard is a given, it is service quality and the much-valued human touch that will set us apart from other healthcare providers. I hope you would all take the opportunity to immerse yourself in this promulgation of service excellence.
