Dear colleagues,
With the recent lifting of all mask-wearing rules by the Government, Hong Kong as well as GHK have continued to move towards normalcy. Unlike the past few years, we were pleased to be able to arrange a number of activities to celebrate GHK’s 6th anniversary with you. Our senior leadership team and I had the pleasure of thanking you in person for your support to GHK all these years by serving you lunch at Bistro on our birthday. I hope that you all enjoyed the meal and our humble service!
You probably should have noted that “Uniquely yours” is adopted as the theme of this year’s anniversary gift. To extend our promulgation of this service culture to our patients and members of the public, we have recently launched the “Uniquely yours” campaign on GHK Facebook page, leveraging the series of short video stories which has struck a chord with many of you. With this campaign we are also looking for great ideas on how we may further live up to this spirit and you are most welcome to invite your friends and family to join in to win tickets to the Ocean Park!
Earlier this month, we announced the launch of our Gynaecological Oncology Centre as we continued to develop our specialist centre services. Supported by a multi-disciplinary team and the adoption of the latest surgical robotic and endoscopic systems, the Centre strives to become a regional leader in advanced gynaecological oncology services, offering more treatment options including gyanecological robotic surgery for patients. Our collaboration with healthtech companies has allowed us to go beyond providing high-quality healthcare services. Through participating in clinical research on and development of cutting-edge surgical equipment, we also aspire to become a research, application and teaching centre for advanced robotic and laparoscopic systems.
Congratulations to the team at Ward 5A on starting to serve patients as a full-fledged Private Mixed Ward! Providing both day-case support and inpatient services covering surgical interventions, endoscopic procedures and non-invasive diagnostic treatments and investigations, Ward 5A will strengthen our capacity to meet the rising demand and help fuel further growth of our inpatient services.

Extending support to victims afar
|
|
|
Further to the earlier donation of aid supplies, GHK initiated another staff donation appeal to support victims in the devastating earthquake in Türkiye and Syria through Hong Kong Red Cross. With the swift and active response from our colleagues, a total of HK$53,960 was raised further to the matching donation made by GHK.
We send our gratefulness to colleagues who kindly supported the appeal to help the victims navigate this difficult time.
