Dear colleagues,
I hope you had a good time joining the different activities during the “Uniquely Yours” Week through which we looked to further promulgate this unique service culture of GHK, and this time, we also engaged our patients. Among others, the UY Ambassadors nomination aimed to highlight the fact that UY is also about our care for all of you and the supportive culture we encourage among staff. This initiative has given us an apt opportunity to give praises to our staff who have demonstrated the UY qualities in interacting with and helping their fellow colleagues. It was great to see your enthusiastic participation in these themed activities including the customised tote bag and cotton candy making! Let’s keep up the UY spirit and the excellent patient care you have been delivering with empathy and professionalism!
During our regular CEO small groups, colleagues have been giving me very candid and helpful feedback on various matters, and I am pleased that we have been able to swiftly act upon many of the issues that were brought up at the catch-up. Recently, we have also invited you all to send in questions or suggestions you may have about your work through "Speak Your Mind”, another internal communications platform we initiated last week. While I will be addressing the most-raised questions and topics in the next video, our door is always open for you. If you have any burning questions or suggestions, please reach out to your supervisors or me anytime!
Those of you who joined us at the last Town Hall Meeting may recall that we were planning for office relocation as part of our wider expansion plan. Our new offices at Marina 8 in Wong Chuk Hang have started running last week and some of the support teams at GHK have also moved to the new offices to allow more hospital space for us to grow our clinical services. Special thanks to teams which were involved in the planning and execution of this office relocation.
Separately, preparation for the new clinic in Wong Chuk Hang under the Gleneagles brand is well underway. We are working towards starting to provide services in Q4 this year and I should be able to share more updates with you in a couple of months' time.

The UY Week – A week Uniquely for YOU!

|
“Uniquely Yours” goes beyond our care for patients, but for all of us in the GHK family.
As a sequel to the launch of the “Uniquely Yours” video stories and the social media campaign, the fun and eventful UY Week was staged to further promulgate this unique service culture among our own staff. Among a series of activities, we were pleased to see the keen staff nomination for the UY Ambassadors who live up to the UY spirit and always take the extra steps in helping and addressing the needs of other colleagues or teams. The themed week reached its climax when staff and patients were invited to show off their creativity and design their own tote bags. The week was wrapped up with the cotton candy activity when staff had great enjoyment in customising their candy floss with their favourite flavours, patterns and lettering!
Thank you everyone for your active participation and together, let’s help the UY spirit thrive as we continue to embrace empathy and thoughtfulness in caring for our patients and our staff!

Summer adventures for the little ones
Our care for our people extends to their families. This summer, we partner with the Ocean Park
to offer our staff’s children the Ocean Expedition Seasonal Adventure Series - Summer 2023.
The Series received keen interest from staff and their kids who had the chance
to meet animal friends up close and learnt about nature conservation.
 
A showcase of excellence and professionalism
We send congratulations to our Radiotherapy and Oncology Centre for exhibiting outstanding performance in the recent Patient Safety Round. On top of their professional service,
the team is praised for actively engaging patients’ family and carers throughout the treatment journey which has helped ensure holistic and continuity of care to patients.
