Dear Colleagues,
We have made another step forward in achieving the aspiration of “Care. For Good.”. Riding on the World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week, we rolled out a collection of activities, including online games, video clips and educational talks, to promote the responsible use and prescription of antibiotics and other antimicrobial drugs among staff and the general public. AMR is relevant to all of us and requires a collective effort. I urge you to disseminate the relevant knowledge to your friends and family to help reduce the spread of AMR together.
Thank you for your active participation in the Pulse Survey 2023 which earned a 92% response rate locally. Your feedback, which is being looked into, will give us useful insights into how effective the different people initiatives have been in meeting staff’s expectations, and how we may do better. Meanwhile, I hope you have had the chance to watch the latest episode of Speak Your Mind in which I shared the various initiatives that had been or will be implemented in response to your and patients’ needs. Your views and thoughtful ideas are important to us, so please keep them coming and we will consider them seriously.
Those of you who joined us at the recent Town Hall meeting should have acknowledged that our hospital continues to be in a growth mode through further strategising our services and developing our service network. Some of these efforts include the opening of Ward 1A earlier this month, the new and expanded Dialysis Centre which will raise our capacity, and the second Gleneagles Healthcare clinic planned to be opened in the Southern district in early 2024.
Despite that we are gradually growing into more than a hospital to serve a wider community, it is important that we continue to work and collaborate as one cohesive team. One of the success factors that has helped GHK reached where it is today is great teamwork. This spirit will remain pivotal to fuelling our further growth. I look forward to your continued support to help the Gleneagles brand go further.
Warm regards,
