GHK opens doors on 21 March 2017

Congratulations to everyone at GHK!

21 March 2017 was a momentous day as it marked the day that GHK opened its doors to serve patients.

Dr Tan See Leng, Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Parkway Pantai, Mr Tsang Yam Pui, Chief Executive Officer of NWS Holdings Limited, and Professor Gabriel Leung, Dean of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of The University of Hong Kong, greeted staff in different departments on this important occasion, extending their appreciation and support to staff who are entrusted with the mission of making GHK a top-notch healthcare facility in Hong Kong through delivering excellent clinical outcomes and patient care.

Preview of GHK for media

Hong Kong and regional media was invited to have a sneak peek into GHK before it went into operation.

Hosted by Dr Tan See Leng and Mr Tsang Yam Pui, the tour and media conference drew around 50 reporters from 28 media organisations. Media was shown and introduced our key facilities and services including Clinical Laboratory, Radiology, A&E, Critical Care Unit, inpatient room and Admission.

Generated close to 90 pieces of print, online and electronic news reports, the event was a concerted effort of the departments which had supported in touring, introducing their respective services, and bringing the hospital to a condition that impressed all visitors.

GHK greets Chairman of Parkway Pantai

We extended a warm welcome to Dato’ Mohammed Azlan, Chairman of Parkway Pantai, who visited GHK, the Group’s first tertiary healthcare facility in Hong Kong, on 18 March 2017.

Dinner for “GHK Pioneers”

To appreciate staff’s dedication and celebrate GHK’s imminent soft opening, a dinner for GHK pioneers was held on 17 March 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event was graced by the presence of Mr Tsang Yam Pui, representatives of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of The University of Hong Kong, and other guests who have rendered support to GHK in the past few years.

Dr Kelvin Loh, GHK’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, extended his heartfelt thankfulness for the diligence and hard work of all staff in making the hospital operationally ready. Staff were also happy to learn that all "pioneers" would receive a gold token tailor-made for GHK, as a token of appreciation from the Board of GHK and Senior Management of Parkway Pantai.

A big "thank-you" to our talented staff for their great on-stage performances. A note of thanks also goes to staff in the organising committee for helping with the preparation including venue decoration, video production, lucky draws etc.

GHK website launched with a new look

In tandem with GHK’s opening on 21 March 2017, the new GHK website (http://gleneagles.hk/) went live on the same day with a new look and user-friendly interface.
