“An Evening at Gleneagles”
On 12 April, we greeted over 100 doctors from different specialties at “An Evening at Gleneagles”, a networking event for doctors who have been accredited with GHK in various capacity. In addition to welcoming them to the GHK family and introducing them to our teams, hospital tours were arranged for them to showcase GHK’s key services and facilities. The occasion also gave us a great opportunity to collect feedback from doctors, allowing us to work with them more closely.

Dreams come true at “Doctor For A Day”
GHK welcomed 46 children of our staff and turned them into “little doctors” at “Doctor For A Day” on 22 April 2017! Brought to GHK for the first time, “Doctor For A Day” has been a successful and popular programme in Parkway Pantai’s hospitals in Singapore.
Six themed workshops, namely A&E, X-ray, Operating Theatre, Physiotherapy, Human Anatomy and Cadiovascular Lab, were set up to take the children through an interesting and educational journey. Dressed up in mini medical scrubs, the children had great fun in participating in different activities such as treating wounds, taking X-ray, conducting suturing and performing angioplasty.
A note of thanks to our colleagues and their children for giving us valuable comments and suggestions to help us enhance users’ experience for future sessions.

GHK’s first Town Hall Meeting
This month saw GHK’s first Town Hall Meeting, a Parkway Pantai tradition which aims to encourage two-way communication between staff and hospital management.
At the meeting, Interim CEO Dr Kelvin Loh stressed that GHK has drawn much interest from, and is highly observed by, various stakeholders in Hong Kong, it is hence particularly important that patients’ safety is strictly safeguarded. Dr Loh also gave staff his assurance that full support would be rendered to staff for comments or initiatives that would help ensure the right things are done for patients.
Mr Lee Cheow Seng, Deputy CEO, shared that the hospital has been operating smoothly and we received around 500 patients in a few weeks after opening. It was also encouraging to see that patients' and visitors' feedback on our facilities and services has been very positive.
Noting that staff are from different backgrounds and cultures, Dr Alexander Chiu, Chief Operating Officer, appealed to staff to be more accommodating, where appropriate, without compromising patients' safety.
