Message from Chief Executive Officer

Dear Colleagues,

September has continued to be a busy month for us as different teams have been going full steam with their projects. I would especially like to acknowledge teams who remained steadfast and professional during the recent Super Typhoon Ragasa. Your thorough preparations and coordination ensured we could uphold our quality and seamless care to our patients throughout the storm.

Earlier this month, our IHH North Asia teams from Hong Kong and Shanghai gathered at Marina Bay in Singapore, for the spirited IHH Healthcare × Singapore Sea Regatta. Our Hong Kong team, comprising colleagues from different departments and doctors, demonstrated incredible teamwork and resilience, earning a well-deserved third place. The event brought together teams from across the Group, united by our shared belief in “Care. For Good.” and our commitment to holistic well-being. It was a powerful reminder that when we paddle in sync toward a common goal, we can create meaningful impact for the communities we serve.

Looking ahead to October, we are excited to host the IHH Healthcare Quality Summit in Hong Kong for the first time, alongside the opening of our new Gleneagles MediCentre in Admiralty. This centre marks an important milestone in our expansion strategy, offering oncology consultation, chemotherapy, endoscopy, minor surgery, plastic surgery and medical aesthetic services. Equipped with digital and AI-assisted technologies, the centre will not only enhance operational efficiency, but also set a new benchmark of seamless and exceptional patient experience. The MediCentre will also further empower us to strengthen the reach and the strength of our service network while offering patients more care options.

As flu season approaches, our annual vaccination programme is now underway. Dr Angus Yuen and I have already received our shots, and we encourage everyone to get vaccinated early to protect yourselves and your loved ones.

Warm regards,

GHK’s pursuit of excellence wins recognitions
GHK is privileged to have recently received two awards which recognise our excellence in clinical innovation and maternity care.
The award “Headline Daily’s Editor’s Choice – Clinical and Technological Excellence in Healthcare” commends our excellence in medical innovation, including being the first private hospital in Asia to offer histotripsy, a transformative, non-invasive liver tumour treatment. Our use of robotic surgery systems, AI-assisted diagnostics, and the establishment of the AI Lab and Clinical Trials Centre further reinforces our commitment to advancing healthcare leveraging technological advancements.

In addition, GHK was named “Best Private Hospital for Maternity Services” in the Champimom Hong Kong Parents’ Choice Awards. As Hong Kong’s first and only private hospital accredited as a Baby-Friendly Hospital, we actively support breastfeeding and offer family-centred, safe, and personalised maternity care, from pregnancy through to postnatal support.
Gleneagles partners with local biotech startup
to advance patient wellness

Gleneagles has teamed up with GUTolution, a homegrown biotech startup specialising in AI-driven gut microbiome testing, to co-develop wellness and preventive care programmes. The collaboration highlights our commitment to fostering better overall wellbeing via innovation and cross-sector partnerships.

The partnership was formalised at the Belt and Road Summit 2025, a key international event hosted by the HKSAR Government. GUTolution’s personalised gut health solutions will be integrated into services to be offered by a new wellness institute under the Gleneagles brand.
Gleneagles × Sing Tao Daily column launch
We’re excited to introduce our brand-new column, now published monthly on Sing Tao Daily.

In this series, doctors from various specialties at Gleneagles will share their personal stories, memorable encounters and interactions with patients they had during their health care journeys.
