Dear Colleagues,
Over the past few years, we have been actively listening to your needs and taking actions upon them so that you and your family can be well taken care of. In tandem with the Employer Voluntary Contribution Scheme to be launched in January 2023, also set to be effected is the provision of life and accident insurance coverage for all staff. Our staff medical benefit plan will also shift from a shared benefit model to individual plans for staff and their dependents, and this is complemented by the extension of medical benefits to staff’s children who are full-time students aged 25 or below. We have also introduced an extensive network of doctors beyond GHK. With these initiatives, I look forward to instilling in our colleagues an even greater sense of belonging in GHK as we grow stronger together as one big family.
Thank you for supporting the IHH Employee Engagement Survey (EES), and we are pleased to see that 89% of our GHK staff participated in it! A preliminary review of the results shows that our eNPS and TRI*M HiPO Index have improved compared to two years ago, indicating that we have built strongerstaff loyaltyand a higher level of staff engagement in understanding the whole organisation’s performance. The report, which will also be shared withindividual departments, will give us helpful insights into the areas and issues that we should focus on to make GHK an even more conducive workplace for you. Do remember that the EES is only one of the many channels through which you can voice your views and suggestions. Please continue to make use of the various staff communication channels or platforms, or simply just share with me your thoughts when we meet on the ground.
GHK has been leveraging innovation and technology in our clinical and customer services. Over the two years since our patient mobile app My Gleneagles SmartHealth has been launched, enhancements of the app’s functions and interface have been made to offer better user experience. Earlier this month, we collaborated with a healthtech start-up PanopticAI to integrate its contactless health and wellness monitoring solution into our patient app. Users will be able to measure their vital signs such as heart rate and respiratory rate by simply scanning their faces with a phone camera. While many of you are already registered users of the app, I invite you and your family to try out this new function and please feel free to let us know what you think of it so we can make it better!
With the Government gradually relaxing its quarantine measures for travellers and social-distancing rules, we at GHK have also reviewed and adjusted some of our anti-pandemic arrangements. Nonetheless, we continue to monitor relevant risks and implement appropriate measures to ensure that our staff, patients and visitors have the right level of protection. While our patients and visitors are no longer required to register before entering the hospital, virus screening for patients before admission or attending outpatient clinics has remained in force. Yes we are seeing more normalcy in our activities, but with the recent daily number of infection cases showing an upward trend, please continue to stay alert and vigilant.
