Dear colleagues,
Since last year, riding on the launch of the group-wide aspiration of “Care. For Good.”, we have put in place an array of staff development programmes, along with initiatives that foster a safe, inclusive and healthy workplace. We are pleased that these efforts have been recognised in our recent winning of the People Sustainability Award in JobsDB - The Hong Kong HR Awards 2022/23. Going side by side is our effort to care for the planet. In the recent Green Power Hike, our doctors and staff formed teams to compete in the race and raise fund for green projects and education work. Congratulations to our Operating Theatre team for winning the 2nd runner up in the 25-km “Medical Services Cup”!
Regular review of the processes and outcomes of clinical services is an important component of sustainable development of healthcare services. Our first Audit Conference held earlier this month provided an excellent opportunity for different teams to exchange views and share experience on their respective audits related to service quality and patient safety. My appreciation to the teams for their active participation and their insightful presentation at the event. Coming up next is the biannual Patient Safety Culture Survey, and I invite you all to take part in it to help us further foster a strong patient safety culture.
Over the past three years of the pandemic, among our other services, our provision of telemedicine services has played a significant role in delivering continuity of high-quality medical care to many patients. Thanks to your staunch support and concerted effort, our telemedicine initiatives have recently won the “COVID Management Initiative of the Year Award” in the Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards!
As we progressively shift our operational arrangements back to normality under the Government’s easing of anti-pandemic measures, we are likely to be seeing a higher demand for our services. Please be assured that we will continue with our active staff recruitment and provide you with all the necessary support to make GHK a fulfilling place to work in.
