Dear Colleagues,
Hong Kong’s healthcare standards are among the highest in the world. In response to the increasing global demand for premier medical services, and to further strengthen our brand in the region, I am pleased to share that we have established the International Patient Services. On top of receiving medical concierge service, overseas patients will have seamless access to personalised treatment and professional care for general surgery, inpatient and outpatient services in obstetrics and gynaecology, oncology, as well as diagnostic and ancillary services.
While most of you are familiar with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) International accreditation which GHK will continue to take part in, we are actively preparing for the accreditation by the China's International Hospital Accreditation Standards (CIHA). By participating in the two accreditation standards, we hope to benefit from the best of both schemes which will subsequently allow us to provide the best possible patient care. The exercise is also expected to foster the integration of healthcare services within the Greater Bay Area. Our QSR team is busy preparing for the assessment scheduled for mid-2025. The CIHA is indeed new to many of us, but please be assured that you will have all the necessary guidance, support and language training to help you understand the process, criteria and requirements.
I hope that “Uniquely Yours” is no stranger to you after our promulgation of the spirit in the past couple of years. For me, UY has never meant to be a gimmick, but a solid aspiration to offer genuine care and thoughtfulness and also a reason for patients to come to us on top of our clinical excellence. The recently-launched “Melodies of the Heart” campaign is a continuation of our UY promotion as we invite submissions of music and songs that help bring patients strength and comfort. I invite you to join us in this meaningful initiative and help us compile a unique playlist for our patients!
The use of mobile apps has almost become an integral part of our daily lives. In addition to our patient app, we also officially launched at our last Town Hall the “Intellect” mobile app to provide our staff with personalised mental health support. I strongly encourage you to download the apps to enjoy the free services tailored to enhance your well-being. Meanwhile, we are also planning to make the staff app available for all staff. This will pave way for you to receive announcements, activity updates, staff services, etc from a single handy platform.
Warm regards,
